Check the version of the drive.

Press MENU → SETTINGS and select "VERSION INFORMATION"

If the unit version is RMC_EU_xxxxx, this article is valid for your model.

Important Notes: RMC4 unit with hardware version from 61 onwards only. 

If your car is equipped with a BOSE or BANG & OLUFSEN sound system, you have to do the update in CUSTOM MODE.
